bio
i was born in the south of russia, in a small village. i still remember freezing snowy winters and melting hot summers — my native land loved extremes.
all the women on my mother’s side of the family are artists. my grandmother was an actress before she got married, and her sister was a theater director. my mother is a jazz singer, my aunt is a composer. somehow, while growing up, i felt connected to all these artistic worlds.
maybe that is how i hear the voices of my bloodline inside me and let them sing. combining painting, knitting, collage, film, theater, dance, singing, and writing helps me connect with the practices i inherited from different people in my family.
due to the political situation, i have not been able to visit russia for a long time. it pushed me onto this path of searching for home — which became a search for myself, for my truth, for reintroducing myself to myself, for healing and returning to my heart.
in recent years i have been living in georgia, türkiye, britain, peru, and chile. searching for my place, yet somehow feeling at home everywhere. everywhere i found a family. everywhere i experienced the freedom to expand, explore myself, and create from it.
i am writing this from santiago, chile, standing at another crossroads on this path.
