Rethinking Fairytales
International Pop-Up Exhibition

1−4 August, 2024
Venue: St. Margaret House (London, UK)

While a classical fairy tale tends to teach us about morality, sacrifice, and heroic acts of saving others, we recently seek to learn how to stay healthy in relationships and save ourselves. Looking back to get reacquainted with the old, beloved fairy tales, how would we feel about them now?

A group of artists from different countries and cultural backgrounds have come together to reflect on fairy tales.

I’m a Woman
International Exhibition
I’m a Woman
International Exhibition

July 31 — August 5, 2024
Venue: Phoenix Art Space, Brighton, UK

This exhibition delves into the many facets of the female experience in the modern world. Although the feminist movement has fostered greater dialogue on these issues, we still struggle to fully grasp the diversity and complexity of women’s experiences. Stigmatization and stereotypes about women’s life situations remain prevalent. We must be brave enough to uncover the unseen and misunderstood aspects of these experiences.

Artists from all mediums and backgrounds are invited to participate in this artistic reflection, "I'm a Woman."

International EV Exhibition
International EV Exhibition

July, 2023
Venue: REM ARTSPACE (Istanbul, Turkey)

EV — the theme of the exhibition — translates from Turkish as "Home."
Today, Turkey brings together many people who have had to say goodbye to their homes for various reasons — some have had their homes taken by war, others by earthquakes, and some cannot return home because their home has rejected them, whether it be their family or an entire country.
What is home, after all? When we lose our home, where do we find it again? At "EV" artists from different countries came together to try to answer this question through their art. The exhibition featured artists from Turkey, Syria, Ukraine, Russia, India, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Belgium, Indonesia, Georgia who literally transformed the exhibition space into a home for everyone — that’s how the exhibition will be designed.

Venue: Grao Cafeteria (Istanbul, Turkey)

Dilan Özdemir is one of the most free-spirited and rebellious visual artists in Istanbul. When you acquaint yourself with Dilan’s art, it awakens the courage to create within you. It seems to be one of the most valuable gifts that an artist can give to the world — inspiration for courage, creativity, and freedom. With her art Dilan declares — you can create a painting from tickets, film photographs, wax, threads — from anything you like. It’s just a sweet mess. Our life.

Venue: Sanat Karakoy (Istanbul, Turkey)

The solo exhibition “COMUS” marks the debut of Maria Svyatskaya, an emigrant artist from Russia. Best known as a fashion photographer, Maria presents for the first time her “non-public” skills as a graphic designer and architect. “Collection of my unused skills” is a tribute to all multipotentials and an inspiration for all artists to not sideline their acquired crafts, but to combine them in the most unexpected ways.
