EV — the theme of the exhibition — translates from Turkish as "Home."
Today, Turkey brings together many people who have had to say goodbye to their homes for various reasons — some have had their homes taken by war, others by earthquakes, and some cannot return home because their home has rejected them, whether it be their family or an entire country.
What is home, after all? When we lose our home, where do we find it again? At "EV" artists from different countries came together to try to answer this question through their art. The exhibition featured artists from Turkey, Syria, Ukraine, Russia, India, United Kingdom, United States, Italy, Belgium, Indonesia, Georgia who literally transformed the exhibition space into a home for everyone — that’s how the exhibition will be designed.

Dilan Özdemir is one of the most free-spirited and rebellious visual artists in Istanbul. When you acquaint yourself with Dilan’s art, it awakens the courage to create within you. It seems to be one of the most valuable gifts that an artist can give to the world — inspiration for courage, creativity, and freedom. With her art Dilan declares — you can create a painting from tickets, film photographs, wax, threads — from anything you like. It’s just a sweet mess. Our life.

The solo exhibition “COMUS” marks the debut of Maria Svyatskaya, an emigrant artist from Russia. Best known as a fashion photographer, Maria presents for the first time her “non-public” skills as a graphic designer and architect. “Collection of my unused skills” is a tribute to all multipotentials and an inspiration for all artists to not sideline their acquired crafts, but to combine them in the most unexpected ways.
